The summary study on Media and Information Literacy (MIL) policies and strategies in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) was developed by a multidisciplinary team of experts, with the participation of actors from different sectors. Its purpose is to serve as a basis for discussions in the consultation process on MIL policies and strategies in BiH, as well as to offer concrete recommendations regarding the introduction of MIL in formal and non-formal education, various government sectors, and BiH society.

This document was produced within UNESCO’s EU-funded project “Building Trust in Media in South East Europe and Turkey – Phase 2,” launched in November. The three-year project aims to, among others, enhance the MIL skills among youth by piloting MIL components in formal and non-formal education systems, training education staff, and building MIL capacities of youth organisations.
